The Flemington Racecourse Market caters to the people living in the city and surrounding suburbs; and brings the quality and flavor of the country to the city.

It is set up on one of the world’s most famous racecourses where a horse race stops a nation - the Melbourne Cup. On this day in November every year, the world’s eyes turn to racing at Flemington Racecourse. You can feel the atmosphere of Melbourne’s Spring Racing Carnival, only the thunder of hooves is missing during the monthly Flemington Racecourse Markets.

Since 1996, Flemington Racecourse Market has grown to more than 200 stalls that offer market goers gourmet and fresh foods, jewellery, distinctive clothing, Australian-made art and craft, all set in the beautiful grounds of one of Victoria’s most famous racecourses.

Flemington Racecourse Market is a great place for the whole family. It is usually held on the fourth Sunday of the month, and drops back to the third when there are not four in a particular month.

There is plenty of parking in the racecourse grounds. Entry into the market is free; however, there is a $3 parking fee. Please leave your dogs at home for the safety of all market patrons.

When: Fourth or third Sunday in the month; September (no market); November 15 (twilight market 3 pm to 8 pm).
